A genre-blending soul artist shaping their own sound from the heart of urban London. They are slowly but surely emerging in Leeds, unapologetically fusing jazz-informed musicality with the noise and nuance of what they dub as the “London sound”.With roots in hip-hop, RnB, and alternative pop and currently receiving formal jazz training, their voice seamlessly shifts from their signature conversational and intimate tone to horn-like commanding power. Taking inspiration from artists like Little Simz, Doechii, Willow and Tyler, the Creator, shadow turns their truth and lived experience into art willingly, openly and laced with metaphor. Their work explores themes of identity, healing, and social issues—crafted with lyrical depth and visuals.

 

Shadow received an education from a state school in northwest London throughout secondary school and sixth form. Since then, Shadow has been a part of function bands, tours around Europe and Chaka Khan’s Meltdown Choir 2024 and Little Simz' Meltdown Choir 2025.
